Radiodays Europe 2017
DAVID will be attending Radiodays Europe from March 19-21. We’ve found Radiodays to be a great event to participate as we have a hunger for Radio. DAVID’s participation at Radiodays Europe falls into four categories: Session, Demo, RadioHack & NextGen.
Session: Savory recipes for broadcast, digital and people integration
Date: Monday, March 20th, 2017
Time: 11:10 a.m. – 11:50 a.m.
Looking to develop your core business, digital revenue streams or both? You know you need integrated solutions but teams drift apart, you get separated and find yourself with suggestions outside of radio. You have the internal ingredients to reach your goals but you’re unsure of what’s the best recipe? A diverse collection of International leaders will debate alternative methods to mix Broadcast, Digital and People most effectively.
The roundtable includes Mirosław Ostrowski (Technical Director, Radio Wroclaw, Poland), Helena Sahlén Folke (Podcast Editor, SR, Sweden), and Manoush Zomorodi (Editor “Notes to self”, WNYC, USA).
“Baking Podsnack” Demo at DAVID Booth
DAVID’s goal is to make the life of radio professionals easier. Last year at Radiodays, we did this with Playout Ubiquity, demonstrating how broadcasters can turn a tablet into a studio. This year we’re taking the next step with Production Ubiquity which more closely connects your broadcast and digital teams by sharing content and editing capabilities. With the magic ingredient of metadata, we can take live shows and rip segments of the show into small, bite size content for consumption online and/or social media with a click of a button. I like to call them Podsnacks.
At the DAVID booth, NextGen participants will be “Baking” Podsnacks out of live interviews. Come by Booth 45 to see how it’s done.
The First RadioHackEurope by Radiodays Europe
DAVID will be active in the RadioHack Europe event at Radiodays Europe from March 17-19. The idea of the hack is to bring people together who want to develop new innovation in a new and exciting way for radio. The participants, who will be divided into teams, have two days to develop their innovation. The innovation can come in almost any form as long as it functions and is something that hasn’t been seen before. DAVID Systems CTO, Michael Wittmann will be taking part on the judging panel.
DAVID’s own Albert Menacher was recently interviewed for the RDE podcast regarding his participation in the event and why innovation is so important in radio. Stephen Harwood from DAVID will also be participating in the RadioHack.
NextGen 17 at Radiodays Europe
We are pleased to sponsor in collaboration with Swedish Radio and Radiodays Europe the future leaders in Radio with NextGen17. NextGen17 enables young radio professionals to network, explore and share ideas as well as focusing on their future careers in the industry at Radiodays. They will also be participating in our DAVID “Podsnacks” demonstration.
We would like to congratulate the NextGen17 winners:
Joanna Alencar Baban, Germany, AFK M94.5
Suzan Arslan, Sweden, Swedish Radio
Chloe English, UK, Roundhouse Radio
Adebola Adebanjo, Nigeria, Freelance
Slim Jones, UK, East London Radio
