DPE - the concept behind the curtain
With DPE, we intend to improve integration/interoperability, quality requirements and usability, scalability, maintainability, testability, new features and workflows in a new system. We will migrate functionality from a 2-tier to a 3-tier system design (Presentation – Service – Storage Layer).
We are building DPE as a collaborative approach both internally and externally, utilizing an agile process methodology. Each iteration covers all product aspects like features, setup, documentation, testing and will be available to integrate into the existing DigaSystem. Configurations will be more powerful by managing them through a data base.

DPE Migration strategy
End of 2011, DPE has been first kicked off with the ParameterViewer. The ParameterViewer is a converter which can read and display the configuration of the existing DigaSystem. It contains a Google-like search function meaning a better search and compare ability.
ParameterEditor edits configurations (ParameterViewer was read-only) using a Microsoft Silverlight front end. ParameterCompare offers comparisons of configurations from different users. ProtocolViewer marks the introduction of new Logging Services. With ProtocolViewer a better scalability and improved filter mechanisms significantly ease the life of administrators.
The latest release is the ContentBrowser which enables to search and view entries stored in the DigaSystem content database while columns and namings can be configured flexibly.

All functionalities can be connected to a current DigaSystem.
