DAVID SYSTEMS - PRESS RELEASE - DAVID SYSTEMS EXPANDS COLLABORATION WITH AXIA AUDIO

Features Deeper Livewire™ interoperation for broadcasters and content providers

Munich/Cleveland, January 15, 2013 – DAVID Systems is pleased to announce a closer collaboration with Axia Audio, simplifying content production, playout and broadcasting via IP-Audio network protocols. DAVID Systems’ playout family (which includes TurboPlayer Pro, TurboPlayer Cart, TurboPlayer Lite and TurboPlayer News), MultiTrack Editor (MTE) and database manager (DBM) now integrate even more closely with Axia Audio’s Livewire protocol, enabling users of Axia consoles to control playout at the touch of a button, as well as controlling recording via MTE and DBM.

“Cooperation with Axia Audio fits with our vision of bringing media services to the enterprise IT backbone,” says Vincent Benveniste, DAVID Systems CEO. “The combination of our playout family and Axia's broadcast consoles offers an attractive, easy to deploy and easy to use solution for different levels of workflows, and provides our customers with the flexibility and cost effectiveness they aspire to“.

DAVID Systems has been a Livewire Partner for years, and has extensive experience with IP-Audio technology. One example is Radio Tirol in northern Italy, which has been using DAVID Systems products in combination with Livewire for four years. DAVID Systems products are tailored to work with IP-based technology and offer native support both for Audio over IP and General Purpose In/Out (GPIO) over IP natively.

“DAVID Systems has really deepened the level of integration between studio hardware and software,” says Axia marketing manager Clark Novak. “Why shouldn’t the playout system have full command of the broadcast console’s functions and hardware? The engineers at DAVID understand the benefits of this level of interoperation and are working hard to make these benefits available to broadcasters.”

Combining DAVID Systems playout with Axia Audio broadcast consoles allows broadcast professionals more control of their studio environment than ever before. Integration and deployment is enhanced as well: even complex broadcast installations can be set up and wired within a day, and altered at any time to suit evolving requirements.
